Home Instead can provide all you need to become a highly successful franchisee
For care franchise company Home Instead, which specialises in providing non-medical care to older people in their own homes, 2013 has been a rewarding year in more ways than one.
Home Instead was set up in the UK in 2006 by husband and wife team Trevor and Sam Brocklebank - its aim was to be the most admired care company in the UK through changing the face of ageing. The business is going from strength to strength and here are just some of this year’s highlights:
Gold winner
Home Instead was delighted to win gold at the British Franchise Association HSBC Franchisor of the Year awards. This is a major national business award that recognised not only the growth of the company but the work it has done campaigning for better standards in the elderly care sector.
This achievement is testament to the quality of care and highest of standards being delivered day in, day out by Home Instead’s 140-plus local offices across the country.
The company has also received many awards for the care it provides, including in the Great British Care Awards. These awards celebrate excellence across the social care sector and pay tribute to individuals who have excelled in their work.
Jackie Rutterford, senior caregiver at Home Instead in Norwich, collected the coveted national ‘Dementia Carer’ award. Regional winners were in the ‘Care Newcomer’, ‘Home Care Worker’ and ‘Home Care Registered Manager’ categories.
Fiona Harrall from Home Instead in St Albans was a finalist in the prestigious Encouraging Women into Franchising Awards. Due to her success, not only as a top franchisee but also for the specialist care she provides, Fiona was approached by Sky News and featured on its main bulletins providing information and expert advice for older people during the summer heatwave.
Innovative care provider
There was more TV coverage for Home Instead when ITN approached the company to make a film about quality home care, having been identified by the channel’s production team as an ‘innovative care provider of the future’.
The film, introduced by news presenter Natasha Kaplinsky, premiered at Naidex National, the UK’s largest disability, rehabilitation and social care exhibition and conference, as part of ITN Productions’ Healthcare News channel.
So if you are thinking of investing in a care franchise Home Instead has to be your first choice. Quality in everything it does and a business model that is tried and tested will provide you with all you need to become a highly successful franchisee with one of the most inspiring companies in the UK.
