By providing parents and children a safe and compassionate environment to live together, running a Woodbridge Family Centre is a rewarding service to be a part of
The Woodbridge Family Centre’s service is rooted in a multi-cultural value. It is transformational and non-discriminatory, with the brand ensuring that the family is central to everything it does, irrespective of disability, race, culture, religion, gender, or ethnic background.
The assessment centre aims to provide a caring, safe, and secure environment for parents or expectant parents who the referring authority feel need additional support and assessment prior to reintegration into the community.
The brand’s mission is to provide every parent with the opportunity to live together with their child in a safe and compassionate environment where guidance and support are provided and robust, fair, and evidence-based assessments of parenting skills are conducted by a team of dedicated professionals with a view to successful re-integration in the community. A truly empathic service.
The centre provides an environment where relationships between families and children are formed, nurtured, and supported to be the best they can prior to reintegration in the community or separation.
Parents, carers, children, their needs, wishes, and views are central to the philosophy of the Woodbridge Family Centre. The support and guidance provided by the centre focus on positive outcomes, respect for human rights and for the values of the families themselves.
Family care
The Woodbridge Family Centre believes where possible, children are best cared for in their own families. Therefore, its aim is to enable and empower the parents/carers and children to be fully involved both in the long-term plans for their future and in the day-to-day activities that foster personal, educational, and social development.
The Woodbridge Family Centre prides itself in a highly experienced staff team with a range of expertise and disciplines. The staff team comprises of qualified social workers, in-house psychologists, graduates, trainee social workers, early years practitioners, graduate nursing staff and experienced family support workers who will be trained to at least level three in health and social care in working with children and young people and families. All staff are encouraged to proceed towards gaining further relevant professional qualifications and career progression.
The team has been selected as they have the expertise to engage with and support ‘vulnerable families’ whose parenting capacity has been impacted by mental health, substance and alcohol abuse, learning difficulties and domestic violence.
