With its commitment to quality and a passion for culinary innovation, Döner Shack is poised to become a new favourite in London’s vibrant food scene
London’s kebab scene is heating up with the recent opening of fast-casual franchise Döner Shack, a new restaurant located on Baker Street.
With its authentic and delicious kebaps, Döner Shack has quickly gained attention from residents and foodies alike, serving over 2,000 customers in its first week alone. As well as this, the brand had a free kebap giveaway, which saw over 3,000 sign-ups, proving the excitement around the opening.
Since opening, the reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, with over 155 reviews resulting in a 4.9/5 rating on Google. One happy customer said: “I came here today for lunch, and it was great! The portion sizes were huge, and the kebaps were authentically German. The service was top notch too. Highly recommended!” Another customer said: “Excellent quality kebabs, literally like being in Berlin.”
Food fanatics weren’t the only people visiting the new restaurant. London influencers, including Love Island stars Theo Campbell and Liam Reardon and Towie’s James Lock, were also among those who visited, endorsing the quality and freshness of the food. “I’m telling you that was the best kebab I’ve ever had in my life. It was flavoursome, it had spice, and the chips were banging too,” said Theo.
Co-founder and managing director of Döner Shack, Sanjeev Sanghera, said: “We’re thrilled to bring Döner Shack to Baker Street and introduce Londoners to kebaps, which when made with premium quality lean meats and the freshest of ingredients, can be enjoyed as part of your everyday diet. In Europe, kebaps outsells the top five fast-food brands 5-1 and this is certainly something we are beginning to see here in the UK.
“The number of people who attended our store in just week one has been humbling. I don’t think I’ll ever get over the look on people’s faces as they take their first bite. The feedback on this launch has been better than ever, and our new Chicken Schnitzel Bites are going down a storm! With this fantastic response, we can’t wait to open more restaurants in London.”
The 35-seater restaurant is open for indoor dining, takeaway, delivery or click & collect, providing customers with flexibility in how they enjoy their Döner Shack experience. The Baker Street franchise also brings a little theatrical fun with a clever and engaging virtual kitchen running a live video stream on screens behind the counter.
