Receiving over 400 entries, Home Instead has been named a finalist in the homecare, public-private partnership and outstanding response to COVID-19 in social care categories
Home Instead has been shortlisted for three prestigious national awards at this year’s LaingBuisson Awards which recognises outstanding achievement and excellence within the health and social care sectors.
The homecare franchise has been named a finalist in the homecare category which recognises ‘excellence in the provision of personal care or healthcare in the home setting’. It is also shortlisted in the public-private partnership category. This was for the innovative collaboration between its local franchise offices in Exeter & East Devon and Cheltenham which was developed to reduce falls-related hospital admissions.
Particularly important, Home Instead has been shortlisted in a special category, introduced this year, for ‘outstanding response to COVID-19 in social care’, that looks to celebrate examples of strong culture delivering better care, excellent communication, early responses, adapting to and overcoming challenges during the pandemic, including the turnaround of a challenging situation in social care.
Martin Jones, CEO of Home Instead, said: “As ever, these nominations bear testament to our commitment to delivering outstanding care and the pursuit of our company mission which is to change the face of ageing.
“We have a passionate national office team, an amazing network of over 217 franchise owners, dedicated key players and compassionate caregivers, all of whom share our vision and values and who, as a result, provide truly exceptional care.
“My thanks go to them for the work they do – these awards would really not be possible without their efforts.”
