Anytime Fitness is set to finish 2021 in style with 10 new franchises
As the year reaches its end, Anytime Fitness is not resting on its laurels. With 10 new locations covering the UK from Inverness to a first-ever Guernsey club, this will take the total number of clubs to over 185 across the UK and Ireland.
This second wind comes after a buoyant recovery from the re-opening of indoor facilities in April, with a third of clubs now exceeding revenue numbers from before March 2020. Potential franchisee interest has also reached record levels with an increase of 300 per cent more enquiries this year.
Ben Dixon, chief development officer at Anytime Fitness UK, had this to say about the incredible uptake: “Demand for health club memberships has been consistent throughout the year and we’re delighted to soon be positively impacting the health and wellbeing of even more local communities across the UK. It’s testament to the hard work and patience of our franchisees and development team in navigating the numerous supply chain challenges and have this strong pipeline of openings in place.”
The 24/7 franchise has also reached Guernsey for the first time. Ben believes this is a testament to the model of Anytime Fitness. He said: “Opening a club in Guernsey shows the versatility of our model and it’s great to be able to reach another new market, after opening our first club in Jersey earlier this year.”
