The virtual Discovery Den, held on 15 April, will also have an added opportunity of a Q&A session with a Razzamataz franchisee and founder Hutton-Gosney
Across the world, people have had to dramatically change the way they live and work. Health worries aside, the impact of COVID-19 looks set to be far-reaching and will impact the way people earn money to support themselves and their families.
One of the more positive consequences looks likely to be the rise in homeworking and small businesses. With many people facing redundancies, Razzamataz Theatre Schools wanted to reach out to share their twenty years of experience and what it means to be part of a franchise.
On Wednesday, 15th April at 7 pm, Razzamataz will be running a free webinar for anyone who wants to know more about franchising and to discuss their opportunities for the future. The idea of the session is to provide information, support and an opportunity for those with a passion for performing arts.
To further provide support during this difficult time, Razzamataz is working on a wide range of offers and discounts to allow more people to join the network and start to build a new future. The company is reaching out to exceptional candidates to get in touch to discuss ways in which to help.
“This is a very scary time for a lot of people and although now may not be the right time to make big financial decisions, this is an opportunity to do as much research as possible into the options out there for the future,” said Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and founder of Razzamataz Theatre Schools. “We would love to share our knowledge about what it means to be part of a franchise, who franchising can work for and why it is not necessary to have any experience to be successful.”
Razzamataz usually holds the Discovery Den sessions in one of the flagship schools across the UK. It’s an opportunity to meet the head office team, other franchisees and ask questions not only about being a Razzamataz Principal, but also general questions about being a theatre school owner and all the ins and outs of franchising.
The virtual Discovery Den will take a similar format but with the added opportunity of a Q&A session with a Razzamataz franchisee and Hutton-Gosney, who will share her experience of being a business owner for the last twenty years. If you’ve watched BBC’s Dragons’ Den and always wondered what it would be like to be a contestant, Hutton-Gosney will give you the inside scoop and offer practical advice for any would-be entrepreneurs.
“We want to do all we can to give back to our wonderful NHS and communities and we are working on some really exciting ideas that are students can get involved with,” she added. “Plus, we are also happy to share any business, PR and marketing tips with anyone who finds themselves in a difficult situation. As a network, I’m so proud that we’ve been able to pull through this crisis together. We have 100 per cent of our franchisees, who have committed to taking the performing arts classes online, after we have provided them with an intense amount of training and support. It is not an easy time for anyone in business at the moment, so we want to do all we can to support not only our network but to also reach out to anyone who is feeling lost in their careers, especially those in the performing arts who have really been hit hard.”
Razzamataz Online launched after the Easter break. The head office has invested in a completely new operations manual, training and support for all franchisees so they are fully prepared to offer the exceptional performing arts training that students expect. There’s lots of live events on social media for children to get involved with and the head office team is on hand to answer any questions.
“The webinars and accompanying paperwork is really impressive and shows how much hard work you guys have done over the lockdown period,” said Angela Pickup, Principal of Razzamataz York.
