Meet face to face with over 180 franchise brands at The International Franchise Show at ExCeL, London on February 16-17
Taking the risk to venture out on your own can be a daunting prospect. It’s been reported that nearly 50 per cent of start-ups fail within the first four years, with the major contributing factors being lack of market need for the product/service, lack of planning and lack of relevant skills.
What makes it so much more surprising is the fact there is a viable alternative.
Perfect fit
Franchising contributes more than £15 billion annually to the British economy and has seen a 70 per cent increase in its workforce over the past decade.
For some, investing in a franchise model is the perfect fit, as it offers a ready made business model with a loyal customer base; a tried and tested brand; relationships with suppliers; a dominant online presence; and extensive training.
These aspects result in a lower level of risk for your monetary investment. It’s all there, boxed up and ready to go. If businesses came flat-packed from a certain retail giant, they’d probably look like franchises.
The franchise industry in the UK is more diverse than ever before and it’s ripe with opportunities for franchise first-timers hoping to get a foot in the door, as well as experienced business owners looking to expand their portfolios.
A significant part of getting started in franchising isn’t running the business itself, but researching and pinpointing a franchise model to suit your budget, character and ambition - and that’s where The International Franchise Show can help.
If you’re looking for a business opportunity that offers you the chance to be a part of an internationally recognised brand or an up and coming company you can help grow, look no further than The International Franchise Show.

Every year hundreds of visitors choose to join the great brands exhibiting at the show.
When Steve Foulsham came to The International Franchise Show, he had been thinking about investing in a franchise for a few years, but wasn’t sure which industry he wanted to invest in.
At the show, he visited many of the stands and attended seminars on the legality and contracts in franchising, which he found invaluable. As a result of attending, Steve decided to become a Telcoinabox franchisee and develop his own telecommunications company.
Keith McGregor was made redundant from his job as a financial director and was subsequently advised to visit The International Franchise Show by a friend to get some inspiration for a new business venture.
He spoke to many exhibitors and found the Expense Reduction Analysts stand, which he felt ticked all the boxes for him. Keith found that speaking face to face to the franchisors at the show was hugely influential.
