Homecare doesn’t need to stop with the elderly. Extra Help franchisees are winning big with the brand’s diverse client base
Claire Robinson founded Extra Help in 2010 to provide home help services to the elderly, new and working parents as well as busy professionals.
Since then, the business has aimed to fill a gap in the market for more inclusive care services – a strategy that has recently clinched Extra Help its first BFA award as ‘Lifestyle Franchisor of the Year’.
Extra Help’s business model has been set up to cater to multiple demographics and varying needs, with this ethos extending to franchisees as well as clients.
Franchisees can choose their working hours, which means they have the flexibility to fit work around other commitments and build a lifestyle they want.
Aside from the social benefits, Extra Help has so far proven to be financially resilient. The business was borne out of the 2008 recession and weathered the more recent pandemic which has resulted in big franchise growth.
Extra Help is now looking to take this expansion further by continuing franchisee recruitment, with the promise of low overheads and established business systems.
