Peter David’s appointment to drive greener future for commercial contract cleaning company
Ecocleen has promoted Peter David to head of systems and compliance.
In his new role, Peter, who has over 25 years’ experience in the franchise industry, will review Ecocleen’s current compliance systems, procedures and processes, ensuring all stakeholders are on board with these measures.
He’ll also be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of the business, as well as providing training to make sure the message of compliance and sustainability is shared with employees.
With this in mind, Peter has introduced an initial three-day training course in which staff are educated on regulations applicable to their job function, before returning for a refresher course six weeks later.
He says: “I’m delighted to be leading the compliance team and look forward to building on the company’s strategies.
“Looking ahead, I will continue working with the growing Ecocleen team to implement long-term goals and plans for compliance to ensure we’re playing our part in tackling climate change and enforcing high standards on behalf of our customers and franchise partners.”
Every year Ecocleen undertakes a strategic review of the business to identify the next phase of the company’s ambitious plans for sustainability.
With a focus on reducing the business’ environmental impact, Ecocleen has recently moved its central office operation to Howbery Park, Oxfordshire, a sustainable 70-acre estate that’s the UK’s first solar powered business park.
Not only has this had a significant impact on reducing the head office’s carbon footprint, but the company has also adopted paperless processes to reduce waste by over 90 per cent.
In addition, the ISO 14001 accredited business has explored the potential benefits of replacing diesel powered vehicles and is fully committed to all fleets being electric by 2025.
