“Some clients’ families put the news on Facebook – and one post reached as far as Australia!” said Angela Harding of Walfinch Southampton
It was a sweet surprise for clients of Walfinch – and for their carers over the Jubilee weekend.
Kam Gill, Walfinch Oxford owner and care coordinator, Sarah Stanbrook, were out and about surprising members of their care team with Jubilee cakes, just before they went into clients’ homes so that they could have Jubilee teas together.
“Between us, we certainly managed to spread some jubilee cheer,” said Sarah, who also used her craft skills to make sure carers were suitably decorated for the occasion.
Walfinch homecare Southampton also delivered its clients a very British Jubilee tea for the celebration, made by Walfinch owners Laura Pineiro and Angela Harding. “We gave them a box full of goodies including homemade salmon and cucumber and egg mayo sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and a fondant fancy,” said Laura.
Angela added: “Some clients’ families put the news on Facebook – and one post reached as far as Australia!”
