Papa John’s becomes ParalympicsGB partner ahead of Tokyo games

Pizza delivery chain aims to raise £250,000 for sporting organisation

Papa John’s has announced a partnership with ParalympicsGB, as the team prepares for the rescheduled Paralympic games next summer in Tokyo.

As part of the deal, which runs until the end of 2021, the pizza delivery chain will assist with fundraising by showcasing three athlete ambassadors on their journey to the games.

Papa John’s digital marketing campaign, called We are Limitless, aims to raise awareness of how each one has overcome challenges and encourage Papa John’s staff and customers to raise £250,000 for ParalympicsGB.
 
The Papa John’s ambassadors include wheelchair athlete and Paralympic legend David Weir, a six-time gold medallist and eight-time winner of the London Marathon; Alfie Hewett, a grand slam champion in wheelchair tennis who’s preparing for his second Paralympic games after picking up two silver medals in Rio 2016; and swimmer Alice Tai, a gold medallist at European, World, Commonwealth and Paralympic level, having won gold in the 4x100m medley at the Rio games.
