Razzamataz Theatre School is empowering its franchisees by expanding its head office team to provide more resources for principals to run the best theatre schools possible.
There have been several new appointments and promotions to the head office team, all with the aim of providing franchisees with the most up to date knowledge and education about how to run and market their schools. This could be anything from student recruitment to the latest social media marketing trends and best business practices.
Charlotte Young has been promoted to the role of operations director and will oversee the strategic goals including franchise recruitment, training and onboarding, external events and performances and general business duties and team management.
Charlotte is a loyal and long-standing member of the team, having started out as a dance teacher back in 2005. Since then, she has launched several Razzamataz schools as a franchisee, worked on many projects for head office and became a full-time member of staff in 2018.
Razzamataz is also able to support people starting out on their own business journey and have given a local young person an opportunity via the Kickstart UK scheme. George Darrall, age 23 is going to be joining the head office in Cumbria to learn more about working in a franchise network and receive practical hands-on training and experience.
George will be supporting the head office with many marketing tasks, assisting on audits, maintaining brand standards, social media support and general administration. He will receive a full induction via Razzamataz and training provider RWP Training Cumbria. As part of his ongoing development, he will be offered regular mentoring sessions and meetings with the directors and given the incredible opportunity of being part of a highly experienced team.
Hayley Limpkin has been part of the network for more than 12 years and is now taking on the role of business coach. As a double British Franchise Association (bfa) Award winner, she has the experience to mentor current franchisees. Her first role will be to lead a business review for all franchisees in London, the day after the annual conference. The business review will give all franchisees the opportunity to fully discuss their goals and ambitions and be helped to set out an excellent working plan to achieve them.
Emily Miller, Hayley’s business partner at Razzamataz Medway will also be joining the head office team as a creative coach. Emily has been instrumental in building Razz Project Intense, an add-on class that has proved very popular throughout the network.
Claire Walford, franchisee Razzamataz Yeovil will be taking on the role of systems support and brand compliance. Her background working with numerous financial and IT software programmes makes her ideal for supporting Razzamataz franchisees with improved technology and systems.
Razzamataz continues to invest heavily in expert business coaching that franchisees can access completely free of charge. This includes ActionCoach‘s mentoring led by coach Pauline Wright, who has 21 years’ experience in the sector.
Franchisees will be able to spend the time focusing on their business, rather than working in their business and identify the areas in which they are lacking and need further support.
Forbes coaches council member and business coach, Adam Stott, is working with MD and founder, Denise Hutton-Gosney, to expand the network as well as give her more skills to mentor existing franchisees.
The investment in the head office team has one main goal – to ensure the experience for the thousands of students that attend Razzamataz classes are the best it can be.
“Denise, Charlotte, the head office team and all the franchisees across the network are some of the most enthusiastic and committed people I have encountered,” says David Bootham, Razzamataz graphic designer. “They have unified a purpose; to provide the best quality performing arts tuition to their students. I would say they are driven by this above all else and I am very pleased to be able to help them in this.”
Alongside the growth in team members, Razzamataz head office welcomes three new members to the Franchise Advisory Council. Michaela Crumpton, franchisee Razzamataz Bristol North and South, Charlotte Olivares, franchisee Razzamataz Maidstone and Asha Richardson, franchisee Razzamataz South Lakes will be joining to help shape the future of the franchise.
“We are delighted to be welcoming all the new team to Razzamataz and implementing our ambitious growth plans,” says Denise. “We pride ourselves on the support and training we give to all of our franchisees. This will help them to continue to see their potential and make the most of every opportunity.”
