The brand's Lancaster franchise broke the company's sales record for a new store
Sukhbir Gill and Lakhwinder Singh are celebrating after their Papa John’s franchise in Lancaster broke the brand’s sales record for a new store.
The business partners became Papa John’s franchisees in 2018 and opened five stores in the first five months. They have stores in Skegness, Bebington, Warrington, Liverpool Wallasey, Liverpool Allerton Road, St Helens and now Lancaster.
Previously, the pair worked for a rival pizza firm. They say their industry experience, coupled with support from Papa John’s head office staff, has helped them grow their business in a short space of time.

Lakhwinder, also known as Lucky, says: “We chose Lancaster as it’s a university town with a substantial student population.
“Our new store is located close to the student club house, with university accommodation above us too, so we are ready for plenty of walk-in trade once the students return from the holiday break.
“However, up until now the sales we have experienced have been from local residents and families hungry to try our pizza.”
The Lancaster store features Papa John’s new look layout, which can be tailored to each location.
