Sarah Cherry of Puddle Ducks Glasgow and Rebecca Lomax of Puddle Ducks Norfolk have shown their passion and determination in the face of the pandemic and were fully prepared for lessons to start in September this year
The baby and children swim school franchise, Puddle Ducks, recently launched two new franchises – Sarah Cherry of Puddle Ducks Glasgow and Rebecca Lomax of Puddle Ducks Norfolk.
This year has been difficult for everyone, however, both new franchise owners have shown their passion and determination in the face of the pandemic and were fully prepared for lessons to start in September this year.
Puddle Ducks Glasgow owner, Sarah Cherry, a mother of two from Loch Lomond, said: “I took my own children to baby and pre-school lessons and we all loved it, I then decided to retrain as a swimming teacher! I have been teaching for over nine years now. When the opportunity came to own my own Puddle Ducks franchise, I jumped at the chance! I fell in love with the ethos, the environment, and the team, I just knew it was a business I wanted to be part of. I’m thrilled to bring Puddle Ducks to the families of Glasgow.”
Rebecca Lomax, the owner of Puddle Ducks Norfolk explained: “I’d been working for Royal Mail for many years, and after starting a family, I hadn’t got the work-life balance I really wanted. I found out about Puddle Ducks after taking my daughter to swimming lessons and knew it was the right opportunity for me. I am so excited to get started with lessons across my local area!”
Rebecca and Sarah received a wealth of support from the national office, Duck HQ, throughout their launch and the pandemic. The team at the head office kept all franchisees up to date surrounding the changing safety restrictions, so they all were well-equipped to handle changes and safety procedures correctly.
Jo Stone, co-founder and managing director of Puddle Ducks said: “We are so pleased to welcome Sarah and Rebecca on board to the Puddle Ducks team! I know it has been a strange time to be setting up a new franchise, but they’ve both shown extreme dedication to developing their franchises and being able to launch lessons safely and successfully. We wish them both the best of luck with their new businesses and look forward to the future and seeing them grow!”
