Little Impressions Case Study: Win-win

Little Impressions Case Study: Win-win

The little impressions franchise allows Jenny Andrew to combine having a family with running a business

Jenny Andrew’s first job was working in a chocolate factory, which wasn’t as glamorous as it might sound.

“I’m a trained musician and spent 10 years working in the music publishing industry until having two children,” she explains. “I realised I wanted a change and a business that would fit around the children more. I wasn’t sure where to start looking for a business that would fit my needs, but I’ve always been quite arty, so wanted to do something that was creative, as well as generating an income.”

Appeal

It was while she was surfing the internet that Jenny came across Little Impressions and thought it was a good opportunity to combine having a family with running a business.

“We looked at several businesses, but kept coming back to Little Impressions, so took the plunge and bought the franchise in October 2004,” she says. “The thing that appealed most to me was being able to meet new families and capture their children’s hands and footprints - preserving a moment in time forever.”

After running the business, for over 10 years, there is still nothing Jenny would prefer to do: “It’s great to see some of my early customers growing up when I take impressions of their brothers or sisters.

There’s no such thing as a typical day “We’ve got some great new products in the pipeline too, giving us the chance to offer our customers a wider range of options and keepsakes that will let them capture the time when their children were small.”
