Harinder Dhami is hoping to be elected at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, 13 October 2021, at the Birmingham NEC
Harinder Dhami, national operations manager for Caremark, supports 120 offices providing in-home care and support in their local communities across the UK. Her role is primarily to offer direction and ensure safe services to the users, as well as formulate strategies for the organisation on areas dictated by the constraints of the social care sector.
Harinder said: “I would like to be elected to the board of the Homecare Association (formally the UKHCA) as I feel that I can share valuable experiences, helping to highlight and formulate solutions to overcome current and potential future challenges the sector faces.
“I am passionate about ensuring that people can make valuable choices to their day to day care needs and are enabled to live a full and meaningful life no matter their age or any disability they may have in their own homes.
“As we are all aware care workers have a difficult but rewarding role and myself and the wider team at Caremark Ltd are committed to highlighting the importance of their role in society overall. I would like to showcase this sector so that the role of a care worker is attractive to others that may not have felt that care work is for them.”
If elected, her role will be to help formulate strategic aims and bring her skills and extensive experience to the board for the benefit of the association and its members.
