The state-of-the-art kid’s coding centres will open in Reading, North Finchley, Isleworth, South Croydon and Eastleigh
Within weeks of landing on UK shores in summer 2019, the kid’s coding franchise signed its first British franchisees. Now, less than a month after its second-ever UK discovery day, the brand has welcomed five more franchisees into its UK network.

Recognising the demand for STEM-related programmes for kids, the newest members of the Code Ninjas franchise family will launch its state-of-the-art kid’s coding centres across Reading, North Finchley, Isleworth, South Croydon, and Eastleigh.
There are already more than 175 Code Ninjas centres across the US and Canada and the UK’s first Code Ninjas centre – Pinner and Harrow – is due to open its doors in a matter of months. CEO and co-founder, David Graham, said that he’s always been confident that growth of the brand in the UK would mirror, if not surpass that of the franchise in the US. But he still admits to being pleasantly surprised.
“The Code Ninjas model has performed so well in the US and our initial goal for the first few months in the UK was to match that rate of growth,” he continued. “ Whilst I’ve always been confident that the UK would respond well to the Code Ninjas programme, it’s incredible to see the quality and quantity of talent looking to join our network. Our presence in England – and beyond – looks to replicate our nationwide offering in the US which now also includes Code Ninjas JR, a programme for kids as young as four. We’re very excited to welcome new faces into our franchise family and further establish ourselves as ‘ones to watch’ in the UK, just months after first launching here.”
More than 50 prospective franchisees packed out the brand’s second UK discovery day, at the Hilton London Metropole on 26 August 2019. Attendees were introduced to the Code Ninjas interactive curriculum, specialist franchisee training programme and support team.
Teams of franchisees plan to bring Code Ninjas to Berkshire, Hampshire and Greater London before the year is out. The fourth centre to open – and the third in the Greater London district – will be operated by Pradip and Bhavna Patel, in North Finchley, Barnet. The husband and wife duo will combine their backgrounds in business ownership and accountancy to launch their family-centric franchise.
“Our goal of owning a Code Ninjas franchise came about after looking into coding education for our own children,” explained Bhavna. “We have two sets of twins, aged 15 and 10, who have all shown a flair for tech, but there just weren’t any opportunities in our area for them to further the skills. We’re keen to make a difference in our local community by offering a service that is very much in demand and by equipping children with the technical aptitude they need to succeed. Long-term, our goal is to build a legacy for our four children. But for right now, our sights are set on establishing Code Ninjas as the coding curriculum of choice for families across Finchley.”
With ongoing demand for the franchise opportunity, the Code Ninjas team has already confirmed a third franchisee UK discovery day, which will take place in early November.
“We’re real detail people at Code Ninjas, so making the trip from our base in Houston, Texas, over to the UK to meet with prospects is a no-brainer for us,” explained Graham. ”It’s imperative that anyone looking to join our network feels just as passionately as we do about improving children’s lives through coding education. That’s a sort of quality in a person that really comes across during a one-to-one session, which is why I’m so keen to meet with prospects. Our new franchisees will bring so much to our network, in terms of both experience and passion. That’s really what Code Ninjas is all about.”
