Milestone reached with launch of Peterborough eatery
German Doner Kebab has opened in Peterborough - its 50th restaurant in the UK.
The Fast-casual brand has opened 13 outlets in total this year and now employs around 1,500 people.
CEO Imran Sayeed says: “Reaching 50 restaurants in the UK is a huge moment in our story and represents a huge achievement for everyone in the German Doner Kebab family.
“Our game changing kebabs are revolutionising the kebab and this has driven huge consumer demand as we bring the German Doner Kebab experience to even more consumers across the country.”
Freshly prepared in front of customers, the company’s kebabs are made using premium meats and fresh local vegetables, served in handmade, toasted breads and accompanied by signature sauces.
Imran adds: “We’ve found ourselves in very challenging times. However, we’ve remained agile and responsive to a fast changing landscape, reaching our customers in new ways and developing exciting new products.
“We’re now looking forward to building this momentum further into 2021, as we maintain our mission of building the fast-casual brand of the future.”
German Doner Kebab is owned by the Hero Brands group, which in 2020 helped Healthy food-to-go and dine-in business Choppaluna launch its first UK store in London.
