Over the past couple of months, the education franchise has opened locations in Stratford, Sheffield, Bournemouth, Edgware, Southend, Bromley, Enfield and another set to open in Maidstone in the coming weeks
With more than three-quarters of UK professionals intending to look for a new job in 2022 and over half of these people also looking to reskill, the demand for Pitman Training’s services has never been higher. As the adult education provider continues to expand its reputation as a world-class training provider, a new cohort of franchises are preparing to offer students the chance to develop their skillsets, broaden their career prospects and boost their confidence.
With the most recent launch in Enfield in January, Pitman has now opened seven locations over the past couple of months in Stratford, Sheffield, Bournemouth, Edgware, Southend and Bromley, with another set to open in Maidstone in the coming weeks. The recent launches bring Pitman’s network size to 80 locations across the UK and Ireland.
As the network expands, Pitman’s courses have become more accessible for students across the UK offering both online and in-centre services. Neil Khakhria, the director of Pitman Enfield, launched his centre with his brother Dip. “We’re so excited to be opening Pitman Training in Enfield. Pitman has been delivering training since 1837 and is a superbrand in the world of accredited training,” said Neil.
“Pitman’s setup allows us to not only provide a modern-day approach to accredited training but also provide students with a fun and inspiring state-of-the-art facility with highly motivated and experienced coaches. As well as private education courses, we also specialise in delivering CPD-accredited training for corporate clients and operate as an assessment centre for a number of internationally recognised professional bodies.”
Another Pitman franchisee, Gareth Jones, launched his first centre six months ago but is already looking to add a second location in Maidstone. He said: “I previously worked in the automotive industry before running a chocolate business. However, I was forced to change careers due to Brexit and the pandemic. Pitman appealed to me because I’m a firm believer that training and education at all stages of life is hugely important. Having the ability to help someone transform their career and change their life was just very appealing to me.
“Since joining Pitman, the support from the team in head office has been excellent. They are very responsive and honest with you. My goals now are to develop Pitman’s presence around Canterbury and Maidstone to ensure I can help as many people as possible.”
For over 180 years, Pitman Training has enjoyed an unrivalled reputation as an elite training provider and with centres offering over 250 courses, it is clear to see why the franchise is growing at such an extraordinary rate. “We’re very proud to be opening so many centres despite tough economic times over the past two years. During the pandemic, we’ve seen a huge demand for our services with students looking to upskill. In fact, we’ve helped just over 10,000 people study and complete their courses online, which is a real testament to all the hard work from everyone here,” said Paul Lewis, the MD of Pitman Training. “As well as this, we’ve managed to support the NHS by providing world-renowned medical courses, such as the Medical Admin Diploma, and nurture a partnership with Amazon, all of which has culminated in massive growth across the network.”
