First step in Change for Good campaign to be rolled out across Europe
KellyDeli, owner of the Sushi Daily franchise, has unveiled new sustainable packaging for the brand’s food products, which include 100 per cent recycled and recyclable trays and lids.
Sushi Daily, which specialises in creating fresh handmade sushi at counters in major supermarkets, is launching the new packaging in around 90 Waitrose stores in the UK, the first step in a Change for Good campaign that will eventually be rolled out to all Sushi Daily counters in Europe.

Celine Ricord, global corporate responsibility manager at KellyDeli, says: “We know consumers across Europe care about the environment and sustainability and as a company, we wanted to demonstrate our commitment towards a more sustainable future.
“In conjunction with waste management experts, we have decided to opt for fully recycled and recyclable plastic as opposed to other packaging that is more difficult to recycle.
“We’re also trialling a bring-your-own scheme, allowing customers to take their favourite sushi home in their own containers. This has been well received, so we’re planning to extend the trial in 2020.”
Sushi Daily has around 1,000 outlets in Europe.
