Children have been treated to a day out at the circus thanks to property search franchise, X-Press Legal Services. The company donated money to Circus Starr, a North-West-based not-for-profit organisation that runs magical circus shows for children with additional needs, illnesses or disabilities, as well as those from vulnerable or low-income backgrounds.
Throughout the past year, children across the country have been unable to enjoy fun activities including going on days out, especially children who were at increased risk from the pandemic.
Circus Starr: ‘A circus with a purpose’, aims to make a day out to the circus a possibility for any child, creating an inclusive environment where children can shout, dance, jump around and are encouraged to let go of their worries, get involved and be themselves. They are treated to a spectacular live performance from an array of clowns, acrobats and jugglers - guaranteed to put a smile on their faces.
Sarah Hall from Circus Starr said: “We allow people to enjoy a visit to the circus no matter what. Nearly 1.5 million UK families can’t afford a single day out together, and 50 per cent of families with disabled children say that the stigma and discrimination they face makes them feel isolated. We create circus shows which allow families to have fun in a safe and welcoming atmosphere, and donations from our sponsors help to make this possible.”
Dave Lister, financial and sales Director at X-Press Legal Services said: “The pandemic has been hard for everyone, but it has been a difficult time for families who are struggling financially, and children with disabilities or illnesses who have been unable to see family and friends. We have all seen how hard the pandemic has hit children across the country and we wanted to help them enjoy themselves again.
“Our franchise owners across England and Wales are proud to give back to their local communities; sponsoring charities, getting involved with grassroots clubs and helping in whatever way they can. They are local people with local knowledge who are proud to not only work within their local community but to support it.”
