Meet Petr Malik from Solihull, one of the latest franchisees to join the rapidly growing Access4Lofts network
Petr Malik has spent much of his working life in the hospitality industry as head chef for a number of international brands. Six years ago, he moved to the UK and has been working as a handyman and maintenance contractor doing gardening, decorating, and odd jobs for a variety of clients.
A few years ago, Petr invested in a small-scale cleaning franchise, but during the past year, he realised he was ready to take his career to the next level with a more extensive business opportunity. So, another franchise was the obvious choice.
“Franchising is a really good way to start a business.” Petr said. “Access4Lofts, in particular, has a great setup and fantastic customer reviews. There’s plenty of work as there are so many old buildings with their lofts not being used properly, and so many people doing renovation work. A lot of people want to spend money on new insulation, too.”
Getting into a highly-rewarding industry
While many businesses are experiencing uncertainty right now, the home renovation sector is certainly bucking the trend. A recent report from Rated People, the home improvement experts, showed that demand for renovation is up by 50 per cent compared to pre-pandemic levels and the trend shows no sign of slowing. The various lockdowns changed the way people think about their homes, and rising interest rates are causing them to rethink moving houses.
These factors are prompting people to want to make more of the space in their homes, and that includes accessing spaces that were otherwise underused, which makes it the right time to invest in an Access4Lofts franchise.
With demand already so strong, it’s just a question of getting the word out there that franchisees like Petr can provide a superior service.
“I have only just started, but I’m confident my new business will go really well. I already have four or five potential customers to see this week and the same next week. As I have experience in maintenance and installations already, the only thing I wasn’t sure about was how to approach customers and the day-to-day running of the business, but the training took care of everything.”
Support is just one click away
Franchisees like Petr can tap into Access4Lofts’ support network at any time and also benefit from the help of a dedicated operational support director.
Using the extensive online knowledge hub and members area, franchisees can access any information they need – from training and ops manuals through to marketing materials and accounts pro formas.
“It’s still early days, but let’s talk again in a couple of months.” Petr added. ”I am sure I will have plenty of good news for you!”
