Franchisee Kim Pinnington has been shortlisted in the Transformation category at the bfa HSBC British Franchise Awards
Kim Pinnington, owner of Puddle Ducks North West Midlands, South Cheshire and Wrexham, has been named a finalist at the bfa HSBC British Franchise Awards in the Transformation category.
This award is for franchisees who have taken over an existing, successful franchise – taking good to great. The judges are looking for a franchisee, whose business has undergone significant transformation in order to achieve a new level of growth, profitability or efficiency.
Jo Stone, Puddle Ducks managing director said: “We are delighted for Kim and her team. Being shortlisted in this category is wonderful, as it celebrates franchisees who have taken over an already successful franchise and developed it to reach new heights. At Puddle Ducks, we believe everyone can learn from each other and we are proud that our network of 33 franchisees all work so closely together.”
Kim took over the Puddle Ducks franchise in 2017 as a resale and expanded her territory after two years to encompass the Midlands. She has seen significant growth and success since buying the franchise, with her 22 strong team of teachers and assistants teaching over 900 customers a week across 18 different pools. Kim was named the Puddle Ducks Franchisee of the Year for 2020 and also shortlisted for the EWIF Franchisee of the Year award.
Kim said: “I was surprised and delighted to have been nominated for the award. Despite 2020 and the difficulties it has brought, we are still feeling so positive and wish everyone the very best of luck.”
Andrew Brattesani, HSBC UK head of franchising said: “HSBC has been sponsoring the awards for many years and we feel it is such an important event on the franchising calendar. Everyone who is shortlisted shows excellence in franchising, which is pivotal to what the awards are all about.”
The Puddle Ducks network will be attending the virtual bfa HSBC British Franchise Awards on 30 November, when the winners will be announced.
