The deal means the fast food business will be opening stores at UK sites run by the facilities management services provider.
Sodexo has already opened SUBWAY outlets at Brunel University in London and the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
It will open another at The Defence School of Transport, based at Normandy Barracks, Leconfield, in the autumn.
“SUBWAY stores come in all shapes and sizes and can be found just about anywhere,” Trevor Haynes, area development manager for the SUBWAY brand UK & Ireland, says.
“The simple operations, alongside minimal space and equipment requirements, mean our stores are uniquely suited for a whole variety of sites.”
Franchise opportunities
Haynes adds: “The SUBWAY brand is keen to develop non-traditional locations in partnership with successful companies like Sodexo.
“This form of growth will be an integral part of the franchise’s development, overall expansion and ongoing strategy over the next five years in the UK and Ireland.”
